Passed peacefully at Gumleigh Gardens on Tuesday 4th August 2026. Beloved husband of Adelina. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Renato (dec’d), Giosi & Lee, Anthony & Tanya and Luisa & Geoff. Loving brother of Alessandrina Merlino, Franco Bertoldi, Ermido Bertoldi, Oliva Moretti and Irma Cainero (all dec’d). Loving Nonno to Mitchell & Cassie, Nathan and Stephanie Haywood, Rowan and Jason Bertoldi, Cameron and Georgia Bertoldi.  Bisnonno to Nellie, Hazel and Rocco Haywood.  Aged 97 years.

A Service Celebrating the life of Ernesto will be offered in the Wagga Wagga Lawn Cemetery Chapel, Brunskill Road, Lake Abert, on Thursday 13th August 2026, commencing at 1:00 pm, followed by interment in the Lawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
