Monica May BAKER 'Mono' (nee Toohey)

Born on 16th May 1931, passed away peacefully on Thursday 18th September 2025 at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. Late of Wagga Wagga. Beloved and loving wife of the late Lesley Robert Baker. Much loved daughter of John Thomas & Muriel Margaret Toohey (nee Sutherland) (both dec’d). Cherished and loving sister and sister-in-law of Betty & Angus Woolston, Kath & Bernie Ffrench, Pat & Joan Toohey, John Toohey, Mary & Ken Salter, Neil Toohey, her twin Margo & Kevin Baker (all dec’d), Pam (of Taree NSW) and Arthur Archer (dec’d). Affectionate and loved aunt and great-aunt of all her nieces, nephews and their families. Aged 94 years.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and the management and staff of Mary Potter Nursing Home for their kind and caring attention to Mono.

 Mass of Christian burial will be offered in Saint Michael’s Cathedral, Church Street, Wagga Wagga, on Tuesday 30th September 2025, commencing at 1:45pm. Following prayers after Mass, the funeral cortege will proceed to the Wagga Wagga Lawn Cemetery, Brunskill Road, Lake Albert. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
